Pet Pool Safety

Most of us consider our four-legged friends to be members of our family, which is why we need to remember their safety around the pool.  It’s easy to assume that all dogs are great swimmers, but the reality is, that’s not true.  Even dogs who love to swim can quickly find themselves in trouble in the pool.  Not to mention, the safety risks for small, older or injured dogs.

Imagine your older dog outside at night, he accidentally falls into the pool without your knowledge.  His eye sight isn’t good and he is unable to find his way to the step.  This kind of tragedy happens more often than you think.

The good news is that this is 100% preventable.  By installing a safety fence, net or cover, you put a barrier between your beloved dog and the pool.  This way your dog does not have access to the pool without you being there.  At Summerfield Pool Safety we install fences to protect pets daily.  It truly is the quickest and easiest way to ensure safety.

A few other tips to keep your pets safe around the pool:

-If your dog is not a strong swimmer, use a pet lifejacket

-Make sure your dog knows where the pool stairs are

-Watch for overheating

-Always supervise your dog in the pool

It is our company’s sole mission to protect your loved ones (including the four-legged ones!) around the pool.  Please contact us for more information about pet fencing!
